摘　　要：针对传统城域视频会议中利用有线骨干网连接各无线局域网(WLAN)的方案不能满足按需灵活组网和覆盖城市周边欠发达地区以及远郊的需求,提出了结合WLAN本地覆盖和基于定向天线实现长距离传输的混合式无线网络架构,通过网络性能实测和视频会议应用系统的实际运行,验证了该网络架构的可行性。在测试的基础上,分析了长距离传输网络中基于TDMA的媒体访问控制(MAC)协议设计以及混合式无线网络中面向本地覆盖和长距离传输的两类MAC协议之间的协同等方面的重要性。Due to the requirement of covering some urban circumjacent underdeveloped areas or far suburbsin and the truth that the traditonal Wireless Local Area Network （WLAN） -based video conference system is not suitable for megapolis applications, a hybrid wireless network which combines WLAN and long-distance network based on directional antennas was designed. The performance of the hybrid wireless network and video conference system running on it were evaluated through test bed. Furthermore, some open problems of Media Access Control （MAC） protocol for the hybrid wireless network were analyzed in detail, including the design of the MAC protocol based on TDMA in long-distance networks and the cooperation of the two protocols in two different networks.
