The application of ASP flooding technology in Daqing oilfield will be focused on second-class oil layers with relatively large remaining geological reserves. Comparing with major reservoirs, second-class oil layers properties change a lot, such as smaller pore radius, significant increase of clay content and shale content, decrease of median particle size. According to the poorer reservoir properties of the second-class oil layers, the study of adaptability and optimization of chemical agents for second-class oil layers ASP flooding formula is carried out through many kinds of lab experiments. The selection principles of alkali and polymer in ASP formula for second-class oil layers have been established based on studies. The study indicates that the effect of NaOH on core permeability is bigger than that of Na2CO3. The matching relationship between linear polymer with different molecular weight and the permeability of the natural core from Daqing Oilfield under the ASP flooding is provided. It is recommended that, for pilot application, the polymer, of which its molecular weight is corresponding to the permeability distribution related to more than 80% reserves, should be selected.
