从《傲慢与偏见》看简·奥斯汀的婚姻观

摘　　要：在《傲慢与偏见》中,简·奥斯汀描述了大量的有关乡村中的婚姻,通过这些描述,可以看出她对婚姻的态度与当时整个社会的婚姻道德观是截然不同的。简.奥斯汀认为婚姻应该建立在真爱和信任上,并且只有通过对同伴彻底了解的基础上,才能得到这样的真爱;表面上肤浅的感情是毫无意义的。通过小说中描述的四对婚姻(夏绿蒂与柯林斯、丽迪雅与韦翰、简与彬格莱、伊丽莎白与达西),表明了作者与当时世俗所对立的婚姻道德观。In Pride and Prejudice,Jane Austen wrote much about marriage in the rural life.But Jane Austen＇s attitude on marriage was completely indifferent to the whole society at that time.Jane Austen thought that marriage should be based on true love and a couple should respect for each other.So people should gain true love through better understanding of his or her partner.She also considered superficial feelings as nonsense.But people at that time held the opposite point of view.In the novel,four marriages were described,marriage between Charlotte and Collins,marriage between Lydia and Wickham,marriage between Jane and Bingley and marriage between Elizabeth and Darcy.Jane Austen analyzed the four marriages and all of the characters in the novel to indicate her own moral values,which were against the real social values at that time.
