摘　　要：针对传统的视频监控系统监控距离有限,难以实现远程监控的缺点,给出了一种利用先进的图像压缩技术和多媒体信息服务技术,对远程场景的图像进行采样、压缩,生成标准的JPG图像文件之后,通过MMS协议进行封装,再利用GPRS网络进行传输的设计。该方案可以较低的成本实现远程的图像监控。Traditional video monitoring system has the fault that it hasn＇t remote monitoring ability and can＇t monitor distant place.In this paper,a design is given that it uses advanced image compression and multimedia message service technology to sample,compress and generate standard JPG image file.After the JPG image file was generated,then the file is encapsulated with MMS protocol and transmitted via the GPRS network.Remote video monitoring system can be implemented with this design.
