摘　　要：被誉为现代玄奘的谭云山先生,把自己的一生都献给了中印两国之间的文化交流事业,因而赢得了两国人民的尊敬。本文细致地记述了他鼎力协助泰戈尔创办国际大学中国学院的盛事,高度评价了他为加强中印两国人民的友谊所作出的不朽业绩。Prof. Tan Yunshan, honored as modern Xuanzang, devoted his whole life to the great cause of China - India cultural exchanges and was deeply respected by the two peoples. This article narrated in detail his vigorous assistance to Rabindranath Tagore in establishing the Cheena Bhavan at Visva -Bharati and highly appraised his eternal contribution to enhancing the friendship between the two nations.
