摘　　要：The invention of controlled use of fire is greatly meaningful for the progress of mankind.To date,the reliable evidences of the origination of hominid use of fire were found in Asia,including the Acheulean Culture site in Israel and Zhoukoudian Site in China,both of which are dated as 700,000 BP.The remains of hominid use of fire in Paleolithic Age include charcoal debris,burnt strata,bones and plant remains,ash deposits,hearth,fire pit and so on.Very few of this kind of remains of early Paleolithic Age have been found so far,and the confirmation of the evidence of hominid use of fire needs experimental techniques.In China,plenty of remains of hominid use of fire have been found.Paying more attention to the archaeological discoveries of remains of hominid use of fire and strengthening laboratory experiments and analyses to these remains will greatly contribute to the researches on the history of the invention and diffusion of hominid use of fire.The invention of controlled use of fire is greatly meaningful for the progress of mankind.
