摘　　要：运用文献计量方法和内容分析方法,对2000-2008年间The Indexer刊登的论文进行统计分析,并对其研究类别进行了划分和汇总,通过对该刊文献的分析了解国外索引研究的进展。笔者在统计数据和文献内容分析的基础上,总结了国外索引研究的主要特点,并对国外索引研究趋势进行了梳理和阐述。The paper analyses the articles published on The Indexer during 2000 -2008 by bibliometrics and content analysis, and all of them are catalogued, in order to find out the trend of index study abroad. The authors sum up the main characters of the index study abroad and illustrate the trend of index study abroad on the base of statistics data and content analysis.
