摘　　要：运用后殖民主义批评理论解读莎士比亚的收山之作《暴风雨》,力求通过剖析文本中呈现的野蛮化他者和种族自恋的对比性写作,揭示文本中潜藏的殖民思维。指出《暴风雨》为盎格鲁.撒克逊种族神话奠定了种族自恋、丑化土著、面向海外的基调,并对后辈作家将帝国话语与白人神话联系在一起的殖民想像提供了生动指向。Abstract： By the careful study on William Shakespeare＇s last work The Tempest, this paper employs post-colonial criticism to disclose the potential colonialism, which is based on author＇s comparative creation of the barbarization of the Others and ethnic narcissism. It reaches the conclusion that The Tempest, an Anglo-Saxons white myth, has built up and consolidated hegemony through barbarizing the aboriginals, ethnic narcissistic and colonial expansion, in order to promote Anglo-Saxons＇ descendant to combine Empire discourse with the white myth.
