摘 要:从理论上提出了一个针对准行波半导体光放大器(TWSOA)的简化功率行波方程模型。通过数值分析给出了简化模型的适用范围。结果表明:在放大器两个端面反射率均小于10-3时,简化模型的计算相对误差不超过5%,而这也是简化模型的适用范围;放大器的工作点离阈值越远,则简化模型的计算相对误差也越小,反之则越大;在适用范围内,简化模型在计算效率上最多可以比原始模型提高30%左右。A simplified theoretical model based on the power travelling wave equations is described for the quasi travelling wave semiconductor optical amplifers(TWSOAs). The scope in which the simplified model works well is presented by numerical analysis. The results shows that when the reflectivities of the two facet of a quasi TWSOA are less than 10-3,the relative error of the calculation by the simplified model is less than 5%,which characterizes the scope of application of the simplified model. It further shows that the relative error in calculation by the simplified model would be smaller when the operation point of the TWSOA is far away from its threshold than that when it is more closer to the threshold. Moreover,it is shown that in the application scope the computation efficiency can be increased by about 30% at most by the simplified model in comparision with the commonly used model.
