摘　　要：劳伦斯继承传统,在小说、戏剧和诗歌等各种文学体裁的创作中大量地使用了方言;他的方言有辨别人物的功能,是人物身份、地位、受教育程度的标识,能做场景介绍,还有伪装的功能。他创造性地发挥传统,让方言起到了前所未有的作用:他用方言与标准英语的相对来表现男女相对的哲学思想,他还用方言讴歌人类原始的性爱。D.H.Lawrence has inherited from tradition and used dialect a lot in his various literary creations such as novels,plays and poems.His dialect helps distinguish people,serve as a marker of class,of status and of educational attainments,introduce scene and background and even act as a type of disguise.he carries forward the tradition and lets his dialect create effects beyond what was used before him.Used in contrast with standard English his dialect helps express his great male-female philosophic ideology,his appreciation of original human sexual love being done by means of dialect too.
