摘　　要：综述了近年来高炉铁水炉外脱硫的发展现状和进展。对几种常用炉外脱硫剂的脱硫效果和利弊进行了对比分析，提出了目前采用镁基脱硫剂进行深度脱硫是我国发展优质钢材、提高企业竞争力的良好机遇。The present status and recent progress of hot metal external desulfurization is overviewed The desulfurization efficiency of some current desulfurization reagents and economic benefits of external desulfurization are comparatively analyzed It is suggested that application of hot metal desulfurization process with magnesium based reagent is a good opportunity for China to both make high quality steel and improve the competitive ability of steel products
