摘　　要：本文论述了近年来与智能卡应用相关的各种密码算法的发展情况,主要内容包括:消息认证码、各种分组密码和流密码的发展概述,以及RSA算法的发展和椭圆曲线密码的发展现状。This article presents an update on recent developments in the area of cryptographic algorithms that are relevant for smart cards. It includes a review of the status of hash functions, block ciphers and stream ciphers and presents an update on authenticated or unforgeable encryption. Finally the issue of secure padding for the RSA algorithm is discussed and the status of Elliptic Curve Cryptography is briefly reviewed.
