摘　　要：在艺术品市场玩金融模型的梅建平,意在推动相对封闭的艺术品交易市场与资本市场对接。这是把大象带进瓷器店吗？Mei Jianping,a professor of finance at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business professor,is also the co-founder of the Mei Moses Art Index. This index is intended to reflect the market price of Western paintings,and has been identified by Morgan Stanley as one of the world's top ten production index.JP Morgan Chase,Merrill Lynch,UBS,Citibank,Deutsche Bank and other major banks are all using this index in reference to art investment. Michael Moses,the other cofounder of the Mei Moses Art Index, works as an art collector.In order to prove the viability of art investment to his wife,he began in 1988,with the help of more than 100 undergraduates, to create a database for art auction records of world renowned auction houses over the last 300 years.Then he met Mei Jianping,who designed a financial model for these data.
