摘　　要：很显然,在海明威的众多作品里,《老人与海》中的圣地亚哥和马洛林的关系可以说是为父子困境创造了一个完美的欢喜结局。但是,研究发现在圣地亚哥身上,海明威不断探索塑造一个他失去的父亲同时也是他自己没有能够履行的角色——他自己儿子的父亲。海明威与自己的父亲和儿子之间不明确的关系通过圣地亚哥在儿子和父亲的双重身份之间的动态转换中得以体现。Obviously, the relation between Santiago and Manolin in The Old Man and the Sea provides a happy ending with regard to the fathersan predicament in Hemingway＇s fiction. The paper finds that Hemingway tries to create a dual image of father and son in Santiago, from whom to show his own ambiguous relationships with his own father and his sans by the dynamic shifting of Santiago＇s identity from son （of the marlin） to father （of Manolin）.
