摘　　要：随着乡镇企业的迅猛发展，其经济总量已约占全国经济总量的３０％，占农村经济总量的近６０％。但随着国家经济体制改革的不断深入，乡镇企业的发展将面临着严重的挑战，乡镇企业如不能克服本身对发展不利的特点，解决对环境污染、生态影响严重的问题，就很难实现其可持续发展。本文就此问题进行了初步讨论，并提出一些粗浅建议，以引起社会的关注，促进乡镇企业的可持续发展。With the rapid growth of township and village enterprises(TVEs), it now contributes for 30% to the total amount of the national economy and 60% to the rural economy. On the other hand,with the deepening of the reform in the national economic system, the development of TVEs will face with the great challenges. It is difficult for TVEs to realize sustainable development unless they can avoid the disadvantages of themselves to the development and solve the problems of severe environmental pollution and ecology impacts caused by them.Those issues are primarily discussed and some suggestions were proposed for promoting attention of the society and thus to stipulate the sustainable development of TVEs
