摘　　要：在网格与网格计算等概念以及传统GIS的不足的基础上,提出了基于网格计算的地理信息系统,即网格GIS。文章讨论了网格GIS的体系结构、关键技术,并通过网格GIS与其他GIS的比较论述了网格GIS的优势。This paper discusses the concepts of grid and grid computing and the disadvantages of the traditional geographic information system（GIS）.At the same time,it brings out the concept of GIS based on grid computing,that is,GridGIS.The paper also discusses the architecture and the key technology of GridGIS.Besides,the advantages of GridGIS are discussed compared with other GISs.
