伊丽莎白:冲破樊篱的“醒狮”——考琳·麦卡洛《呼唤》中的女性形象探析

摘　　要：澳大利亚当代最有影响的作家考琳·麦卡洛在《呼唤》中塑造了伊丽莎白、茹贝、内尔、玉等一批各具个性的女性形象。而伊丽莎白更是倾注了作者的心血和独特情感。小说中的伊丽莎白天生丽质,外柔内刚,追求个性解放,明显带有作家自身的影子。伊丽莎白形象的塑造显然受作家自身的经历和西方女权主义运动的影响。Colleen MeCullough, one of the most influential writers in Contemporary Australian Literature, portrays many female images with distinctive characters, such as Elizabeth, Ruby, Nellie and so on. She throws especially much energy and affection into the portraying ＆Elizabeth, who in the novel is a natural beauty in pursuit of liberalism, gentIe outside but hard inside. Obviously, the portraying of this figure is influenced by the writer＇s own experiences and the westem feminist movement.
