摘　　要：通过划分上海城市功能演化的主要阶段,验证了市场效率对城市功能适应环境变化升级过程中所产生的诱致作用。尤其是在进入21世纪以后,经济全球化叠加信息技术革命的影响呈日益加深之势,对上海带动长三角区域参与国际竞争的综合服务能力提出了更高要求。为此,上海应通过跨越式发展,转型为新兴的全球城市。By dividing the evolutionary stages of the urban functions of Shanghai, this article verifies the inducing role of market efficiency on urban functions. Especially in the 21^st century, the trend of economic globalization and the information technology revolution has been increasingly deepened, and it also proposes higher requires on Shanghai to lead Yangtze River Delta region to participate in international competition. Therefore, Shanghai should develop into an emerging global city through positive transformation and leap- forward development.
