近代苏北佣妇在上海的规模与处境

摘　　要：苏北佣妇是近代中国城市化进程中较早遭受地域歧视的一个群体,她们佣食上海的过程与庞大规模,以及她们备受歧视的生活待遇和职业环境,揭示了苏北佣妇在都市中的底层地位和卑微处境。江南"文明人"为了自身利益或自身认同的确立,突出他们与这个阶层的区别,结果,对苏北佣妇应有的同情与帮助被歧视与偏见所取代,由此强化他们的优越感。反思这种历史文化现象的发生、正视并消解当今的现实社会存在,有助于实现社会和谐和推动历史进步。Women employee from Northern Jiangsu were a group which suffered from the regional discrimination very early during the process of urbanization in modern China. The process of their employment, their large-scale in Shanghai,as well as discrimination against their living conditions and occupational environment, all revealed the bottom-low status and humble circumstances of women employee from Northern Jiangsu. ＂Civilized＂ in Jiangnan highlighted the difference between them and this stratum for their own interests or the establishment of their identity to strengthen their sense of superiority. As a result, the sympathy and assistance which the women employee from Northern Jiangsu should have, were replaced by discrimination and prejudice. The reflection on the occurrence and elimination of this historical and cultural phenomenon and right attitude to wards the reality of today＇s society will be helpful to achieve social harmony and promote historical progress.
