摘　　要：流俗词源是指人们对词或短语的来源及语义做出的通俗但错误的主观解释。流俗词源依使用者的语用需求可细分为无意型的和故意型两类。从认知语言学的角度来看,此种现象的形成过程背后有着深刻的人类认知动因。正是人们在寻义的内驱力下,循"搜寻规则需求"的"认同原则"使流俗词源得以产生。Folk etymology refers to a popular but mistaken account of the origin or meaning of a word or phrase. Depending on the user＇s pragmatic needs, it can be divided into two kinds, intentional and unintentional. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, a profound cognitive motivation lies behind this language phenomenon. Folk etymology is caused by humans, who, in their sustained effort after meaning, follow the principle of analogy which is based on their needs to find regularities.
