摘　　要：<Abstract>Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus carries till strong influential power in literary history. It successfully portrays the downfall of a brilliant man. Because of his hubris and his excessive greed for absolute power,the main protagonist Faus-tus gives up many opportunity of redemption open to him and takes a path of darkness.
