摘　　要："五贤帝"治下的罗马帝国向来为西方史家所称道。此间,帝国内部繁荣,边境安宁,很大程度上归功于"五贤帝"治军成效显著。虽然五位皇帝在位期间推行的军事政策不尽一致,军队的军事任务亦存在差异,但都通过不同手段、方式保持了军队的稳定,为帝国繁荣提供了保障。"五贤帝"治军主要体现在对军团和近卫军的治理。因"五贤帝"治军有方,使军队能够履行自己的职能,或对外征伐,或固守边境,甚至帝国历史上作恶多端的近卫军也未得兴风作浪之机。军队稳定与帝国稳定成正比,这一时段的历史可资证明。The Roman Empire under the governance of ＂five good emperors＂ has long been appreciated a- mong western historians. During that period, the empire was flourishing, and boundary peaceful. To large ex- tent, it attributed to great efforts of these emperors. Even though they adopted different military policies and military missions, these emperors kept their army stable and empire prosperous. Their management was repre- sented in the ruling of army and guards. Due to excellent management, they made army carry out their duties in conquest and frontier safeguarding. The history has proven that stability of empire is proportioned to stable army.
