摘　　要：α-硫辛酸是一种既能在水相又能在脂相中起作用的抗氧化剂和促氧化剂。近年来的研究表明,它还对基因表达具有一定调控作用。α-硫辛酸的这种功能在预防和治疗自由基相关的疾病,如糖尿病及糖尿病慢性并发症、癌症和衰老等方面起着非常重要的作用。本文简单阐述α-硫辛酸的抗氧化作用与促氧化作用,详析近年来其对基因表达的调控作用及其在医学上应用的研究新进展,为深入了解α-硫辛酸调控基因表达的分子机制及其在人类医药领域的应用提供一定的理论指导。Alpha-lipoic acid is an am phipathic molecule,which may act as an antioxidant or prooxidant both in hydrophilic and lipophilic environments.Recently,many studies have provided evidence on the regulation of α-lipoic acid on gene expression.Moreover,its regulation on gene expression is of great importance to the prevention and treatment of diseases associated with radical,including diabetes mellitus,chronic complications of diabetes mellitus,cancers and aging,etc.The antioxidant and prooxidant effects of α-lipoic acid was briefly discussed,and the regulation of α-lipoic acid on gene expression and its medical applications in recent research were elaborated in this review.It will be helpful to further understand the molecular mechanism of α-lipoic acid regulation of gene expression and widely use in the field of human medicine.
