摘　　要：美国人的图书意识,就是对所有出版物的"言论""出版""流通"和"馆藏"四个方面内容的认识反应,及其能动性和对图书现象的态度与评价。它是表现在图书之上的法制、精神与实力的结合,具有一般意义的共性和其国情的个性,许多方面代表着图书馆事业的先进性和发展方向,成为我们借鉴的模式和经验。American publications consciousness, the reaction to the ＂statements ＂, ＂publication＂ ＂circulation ＂ and ＂collection ＂ of all the publications, the activities, the attitude and evaluation of the phenomenon of publications. It manifests in the combination of law, spirit and strength which is above the publications, has universality in general and individuality that suits its national conditions, many aspects of which represent the advancement and development direction of library career and has become our reference model and experience. 8 refs.
