摘 要:由对异文化的考察,来重新审视自身,是文化研究的一个主要理由。但在实践过程中,文化中心论曾经一度成为宣扬文化先进与落后的强势语词,给多元文化的和谐共存制造了诸多的贻害。通过文化中心论产生的历史谱系分析,揭示了文化中心论话语的本质就是西方世界中心经济对非西方世界边缘经济渗透过程中的一种话语权力的安排的表现。消解文化中心论的基本途径,就是承认多元文化的价值,并通过不同文化之间的对话,增强不同文化共同体的可行能力,夯实文化多样性赖以存在的物质基础。随着文化中心论的消解建立起来的文化对话机制,是有可能使得文化生态趋向于总体平衡、社会趋于和谐的。A re - thinking of a culture by studying "Other" cultures constitutes the principal motivation for cultural studies. Ethnocentrism, however, was in fact once propagated as a "powerful" word that isolated the "civilization" from the so - called "primitive", engendering negative consequences in the building of harmonious society and the harmonious co - existence of various cultures. This paper argues that ethnocentric discourse, in essence, is a discursive arrangement on the part of the western "Center" in their attempts to infiltrate into non -west "Periphery" in the economic sphere. Deeonstructing cultural ethnocentrism, as the only means of constructing harmonious cultures, is comprised of the efforts to acknowledge the values of each culture and respect the cultural "Otherness", to deepen dialogues of any forms among cultures. The dialogues of this kind, as a result, play a vital part in enhancing the abilities of "peripheral" cultural communities to act and to elevate their economy so as to materialize social harmony.
