摘 要:本文将隐喻看作一种参照活动,运用Langacker的参照点理论,提出理解隐喻名名复合词涉及直达式、并联式、链式和阶梯式参照活动。研究表明,对名名复合词进行隐喻识解的理据是N1和N2关系匹配错位以及意义和语境匹配错位;名词所指事物的特征凸显度、事物之间的相似度以及常规关系是理解隐喻名名复合词的概念基础;通过一个事物认识另一个事物是理解隐喻名名复合词的认知机制。从本质上讲,理解汉语隐喻名名复合词的过程,就是以N1和(或)N2为出发点,激活与之相关的百科知识集,以隐喻的方式建立事物之间的参照关系,从而实现N1和N2的关系匹配以及N1N2的意义和语境的匹配。On the basis of Langacker' s Reference Point Theory,the present paper argues that metaphor is a reference point phenomenon,and that interpretations of Chinese metaphorical nounnoun compounds involve the direct reference model,the juxtaposition reference model,the chainlike reference model and the step-by-step reference model.It is claimed(1) that the motivations for metaphorical construals of Chinese noun-noun compounds are the mismatch between N1 and N2 and that between meaning and context;(2) that the properties of a thing,similarities between things,as well as conventional relationships,are the conceptual basis for interpreting these compounds;and (3 ) that the cognitive mechanism of interpreting these compounds is the cognition of one thing with reference to another.In conclusion,the process of interpreting these compounds is that of establishing the association between N1 and N2 and that between meaning and context by means of conceptual metaphor with reference to the encyclopedic knowledge activated by N1 and N2.
