High temperature holiday: utilize law to protect the construction workers in fight against severe heat?

摘　　要：连续的中暑死亡事故引起社会极大关注,高温酷暑,如何保护建筑工人的健康和生命?本刊记者专访了北京市人大代表卫爱民律师。卫爱民说,建筑工人中暑死亡是对我们的政府责任和企业社会良知的拷问,对建筑业实行高温放假制度应该尽快写进法律,通过立法保证农民工的生命权。Since so far this summer, high temperature alarms constantly scream across the country, but in many worksites in the sun, civilian workers still sweat profusely, and sunstroke and death accidents happen constantly, which has aroused great concern of society. How can we protect civilian worker brother’s right to life at high temperatures? Staff correspondent specially interviewed Lawyer Wei Aimin, Deputy of Beijing People’s Congress and Legal Adviser of our Publication. In Wei Aimin’s opinion, the sunstroke and death accidents torture our government’s liability and enterprise’s social conscience, the high temperature holiday system shall be written into law as far as possible in order to protect civilian worker’s right to life by legislation.
