摘　　要：2002年,日本决定开始建设准天顶卫星系统,目的是为导航定位、新一代移动通信提供技术手段,并计划到2011年正式投入运行。针对准天顶卫星系统建立的背景、系统功能、系统在增强GPS中的作用和系统中的时间工作进行了阐述。At 2002,Japan decided to establish the quasi-zenith satellite system（QZSS）.The system will supply advanced methods for the positioning and navigation and for the next-generation mobile communication.The construction of the system will be accomplished at 2011.The establishment background and the functions of the system,the roles of the system in GPS augmentation,and the time tasks in the system are analyzed.
