摘　　要：城市自诞生以来给人类社会带来了繁荣和进步,但在发展过程中也存在诸多问题,引起了各界学者的广泛关注,不同的城市发展理论随之产生。文章对近代以来较有影响力的国外城市发展理论进行了梳理,分析了其共同特点与不足,探讨了其对我国城市化的启示,以期为加快我国城市化进程、促进我国城市的可持续发展提供理论支撑。Since the birth of city,it has brought great development and prosperity to human society,but in the process of its development,lots of problems began to emerge,which attracted many scholars to discuss it,then kinds of urban development theories were put forward.In order to promote the process of China＇s urbanization and cities＇ sustaining development,this article introduced some famous theories of urban development since the modern times,and gave a summary on their common ideas and suffiency,then discussed what we could learn from them in China＇s urbanization.
