摘　　要：在FCC"国家宽带计划"正式公布之前,谷歌就宣布了其将建设试验性的超高速宽带网络的计划,并立刻引起业界震动。谷歌FTTH试验网计划的核心目标是推动超高速宽带网建设,开放接入,向业务提供者提供体验新应用、新设备和新业务的机会。谷歌FTTH试验网有可能成为改变美国宽带实施模式的催化剂,就像当年Vonage公司(提供IP电话业务)对固定电话业务造成的影响一样,重塑美国宽带市场。The core objective of Google FTTH pilot network plan is to promote the construction of ultra-high-speed broadband network,open access and offer opportunities for providers to experience new applications,new equipments and new services.This pilot will create a new gigabit broadband business test-bed for the development of next generation 'killer' broadband new applications;seek implementation of new FTTH technologies and explore irmovative solution to reduce the cost of FTTH network construction and maintenance and to gain experience for future deployment;operate a open network to provide a fully open, non-discriminatory and transparent access network for business providers, and verify the economic benefits of open access network. Google's entering into the broadband infrastructure will bring a series of impacts of U.S.broadband market.First,telecom operators and cable companies are forced to upgrade their networks to promote construction of FTTH;second,regulation policy and sector structure are to be adjusted;third,opportunities are to be brought for equipment manufacturers.In short,Google FTTH pilot network would become a catalyst for U.S.to change the broadband implementation pattern and remodel the broadband market,just like Vonage's influence on the fixed telephone service market.
