摘　　要：笔者基于元认知理论和英语自主学习的内在联系,探讨了如何把元认知理论的三个要素(元认知知识,元认知体验和元认知策略)和大学英语阅读教学相结合,从而培养学习者自主阅读的能力,提高阅读水平。Based on the relationship between metacognition and autonomous learning,the author explores how to integrate the three factors of metacogniton （metacognitive knowledge,metacognitive experiences and metacognitive strategy） into the teaching of college English reading so as to foster students autonomous reading.
