摘 要:ATM交换机中传统的插件板功能划分及其互连式难以满足灵活与高效的分布式交换要求。为了设计更加先进的交换系统,提出了一种新的背板混洗型ATM交换网络。通过重新划分ATM交换机中各不同插件板集成的逻辑功能,得到一种集接口、交换和本地控制与管理于一体的新型插件板,它按照背板混洗交换方案进行系统互连,可灵活构造各种不同性能要求的ATM接入交换机和网络节点交换机。为了提高新型ATM交换网络和系统的实用性,还提出了三种改进途径,并描述了由此构成大容量ATM交换网络的新方案。It is difficult to satisfy the requirement of flexible and higher efficient distributed switching for the traditional function dividing method as well as the interconnection pattern of plug in modules within ATM switches. In order to design more advanced ATM switching system, a new kind of backplane shuffle interconnection network is proposed in this paper. Furthermore the function modules of the ATM switch should be re divided into different cards interconnected by shuffle network so as to realize distributed switching. This results in a new kind of interfacing card, which integrates the interfaces, switching, local control as well as OAM functions altogether. For further improving the new structure's performance, three practical methods are described. At last, a folded 3 stage multiplane ATM switching fabric is given in this paper.
