摘　　要：依据中国虎化石的记录,研究了虎的起源,提出了虎是起源于中国黄河流域中部的新观点。认为中国华北地区的虎应是世界上虎的最古老的地理种群,并依据实地调查结果阐述了我国虎的濒危过程及致危原因。The origin of tigers in China was discussed on the basis of fossil records of tigers in China and the conclusion was that Chinese tiger was originated in the middle of Yellow River Basin and the old hypothesis of the origin of the tiger in international and national literatures was corrected,It was further indicated that tigers in North China were the oldest population in the world and extincted 50s of the last century.The process of endanger of the tiger population and causes of endanger were discussed.
