中英作者医学论文英文摘要中模糊限制语的对比研究  

A Comparative Study of Hedges in English Abstracts of Medical Research Articles by Native-English and Chinese Speakers

摘　　要：以英美重要医学期刊论文和西安交通大学医学院博士生学位论文中各40篇英文摘要为语料,对比分析了六类模糊限制语在两类摘要中使用种类、频率及分布上存在的差异,探讨了以汉语为母语作者的摘要中模糊限制语的使用错误及原因。This study compared hedges used in 40 English medical research article abstracts by native-English speakers in leading international medical journals and 40 ones by doctor＇ s degree candidates from the Medical School of Xi＇an Jiaotong University. Our analysis of the samples indicated that there were significant differences in the use of hedges in English abstracts in terms of type, frequency and distribution in each section. We also analyze the causes of the errors in Chinese students＇ using hedges in their English abstracts.
