摘　　要：利用陕西省地震台网观测报告及西安数字地震台网、中国地震台网、华北遥测地震台网、陕西邻省部分台站记录的数据资料,对1998年1月5日泾阳地震震级做了对比分析研究。结合泾阳地震的宏观考察数据综合分析,认为泾阳地震震级为ML5.2是合理的。This article analyzes Jingyang earthquake happened on Jan. 5th, 1998 by utilizing macro data, including data form Xi＇an Digital Seismic Network, China Earthquake Network and the North China Telemetric Seismic Network, and some related data recorded by adjacent provinces of Shaanxi, and the conclusion has been reached ： it is appropriate to determine the magnitude of the earthquake as ML5.2.
