Objective To investigate the prevalence of skin superficial fungal infection among the officers and men of the armed police forces under high-temperature and high-intensity training for military review. Methods One hundred officers and men of the armed police forces randomly selected, all males, aged 20.6 (19-24), underwent examination for skin superficial fungal infection by the dermatologists on their rounds before the training and 2 months after the training, Meanwhile peripheral blood samples were collected to examine the ratios of CD3+CD4+ cells and CD3+CD8+ cells by flow cytometry. Results There were 16 cases of dermatomycosis before the training and there were 14 newly diagnosed cases of superficial fungal infection after 2 months' training, Compared with data before the training, the ratio of CD3+CD4+ cells was slightly lower and the ratio of CD3+CD8+ cells was slightly higher affter 2 months' trainin, but the differences were not statistically significant both(P〉0.05). Conclusion The prevalence of skin superficial fungal infection is increased significantly under high-temperatur, high-pressure ,and high-intensity training condition.
