摘　　要：2008年3月30日在甘肃省肃南县皇城镇一带发生了一次MS5.0地震。本文归纳总结了本次地震的基本地震参数、序列特征,利用P波资料计算了震源机制解,根据地震现场考察结果分析了烈度分布特征。综合本次地震的地质构造和历史地震活动背景、震源机制、余震分布、极震区长轴方向分析了本次地震的发震构造,结果显示本次地震的发震构造不清晰。A moderate earthquake （Ms5.0） occurred on 30 March 2008 in Huangcheng town, Sunan county, Gansu province. The principal parameters and sequence character of the event are summarized, the earthquake focal mechanism is inversed with P motion, and distribution of the seismic damage is ana- lyzed based on the date of the field investigation. The tectonic background of the event is discussed in the views of regional tectonics, seismic activities, focal mechanism, distribution of aftershocks and the major axis of epicenter area, but the result shows that the causative structure is not clear.
