摘　　要：系统功能类型学是系统功能语言学框架下多语言研究的一个分支。本文着重讨论系统功能类型学的理论、目标和研究方法。文章认为,系统功能类型学适用于对包括语言在内的不同的社会符号系统的类型描写;对语言系统的类型描写是对社会符号系统的普通描写的一种参照。系统功能类型学研究的最终目标和系统功能语言学的目标是一致的,即建立功能语义学,实现对意义的普通描写。Systemic functional typology is a branch of multilingual studies within the overall framework of systemic functional linguistics. The paper discusses the theoretical assumptions, objective and methodological aspects of systemic functional typology. It is argued that systemic functional typology is appliable to the description of different social semiotic systems and that the description of language is a reference to the general description of social semiotic systems. The ultimate objective of systemic functional typology complies with that of systemic functional linguistics, i.e. the general description of meaning.
