摘　　要：现代服务业是知识密集型的生产性服务业。本文从长江三角洲区域发展战略规划中上海现代服务业的基本定位出发,与伦敦、纽约、东京三大国际都市圈进行相关人口与就业条件对比,对上海现代服务业吸纳就业能力进行深层次分析与研究,推论出上海现代服务业在"十二五"期间及以后时段发展路径选择的条件约束,并据此给出若干操作性结论与建设性意见。Modern service industry is a knowledge-intensive,production-oriented service industry.Proceeding from the strategic positioning of Shanghai＇s modern service industry in the Yangtze Delta area,this essay compares Shanghai＇s population and employment conditions with those of London,New York,and Tokyo and makes an in-depth study on how Shanghai＇s modern service industry may boost employment.The article also points out constraints in developing the service industry during the period of the 12^（th） Five-year Plan and thereafter and presents corresponding proposals and suggestions.
