摘　　要：文章阐述了当今全球信息化时代,需要人们具备信息素质.及信息素质概念、信息素质教育、信息素质教育的重要意义;国外对信息素质教育的重视的程度,把信息素质教育看作为有关国家兴衰存亡的一个重要方面,积极加以普及开展被并视为提高全民素质、增强综合国力的一项系统工程.美国把信息素质教育列入中小学教育课程和大学教育课程,并制定出信息素质教育标准.我国与国外相比这方面差距很大,信息素质教育起步较晚,应引起有关部门重视,做好信息素质教育的普及工作.文章旨在努力以医院图书馆信息资源和电子网络之现代化手段,促进医院信息素质教育活动.The article elaborated the global information age, in the contemporary world, needs people to possess information literacy and introduced the concept of the information literacy,information literacy education and its importance. Overseas courtries,who consider it significant, regard the information literacy education as an important aspect which is related to the national prosperity and actively popularize the education which is seen as a systematic project to improve the literacy of the people and to enhance the overall national strength. In the United States, information literacy education is included in the elementary, the secondary and the college education curriculum. Also its standards have been made out. Admittedly, China exists a great disparity comparing with the foreign countries in this regard. Our education for the information literacy started late. The departments concerned should pay attention to the popularization of the education. The article lies in its efforts to the use of the library resources in hospital and the modern means of the electronic networks to promote the education of the information literacy in the hospital
