摘　　要：威廉·福克纳是美国二十世纪最有影响力的作家之一,是1949年诺贝尔文学奖的获得者。他的大部分作品生动地再现了美国内战之后南方贵族的没落与衰败。《致艾米丽的玫瑰》记述了南方贵族格尔生家族中最后一个成员艾米丽小姐的一生孤僻的生活。在这部短篇里,福克纳运用了不同的文体技巧反映了艾米丽小姐逐渐扭曲的心态和一生悲惨的命运,并揭露其悲剧的根源。在本文中,笔者将对这一短篇小说所运用的文体学技巧从词法和句法、修辞学两方面进行阐述。William Faulkner is one of the most influential American writers in the 20th century. He is the Nobel Prize winner in literature in 1949. Most of his writings vividly portray the downfall of southern aristocrats after the American Civil War. ＂A Rose for Emily＂ focuses on Emily Grierson, the last member of a southern aristocracy family, and her isolated life. In this short story, Faulkner uses variery of stylistic skills to reflect Emily’s deformed personality and miserable fate and reveal the cause of her tragedy. In this essay the author will present a stylistic analysis of this short story from two aspects： from the aspect of morphology and syntax and from the aspect of figurative language.
