摘　　要：在美国,私立高等教育包括营利性高等教育和非营利性高等教育两种。本文首先探讨了两者的区别。特色办学、自治性构成了美国非营利性私立高等教育的特征。众所周知,美国的私立高等教育是世界上最大的私立教育系统,其很多优点值得我国的民办高等教育深入学习。In the United State, higher education includes non- profit private higher education and profit private higher education. First of all, this text reveals the differences between them. Then it lists the four features of non-profit private higher education, including Unique Style, Diversified Sources of Funding and Autonomy. As we know, American private higher education is the largest private education system in the world. Thus it is very necessary for the private higher education in our country to study their merits
