Identification of the Virus in Newcastle Disease-like Infection of Goose

摘　　要：用鹅胚分别从扬州地区附近两地患病鹅群的病鹅肝、脾中分离到2株病毒，电镜观察病毒颗粒大小不等，形态不一，具有囊膜和纤突结构，病毒粒子大小100～300nm。两毒株能凝集鸡和人O型红细胞，并为鹅康复血清所抑制，对鹅、鸡及鹅胚、鸡胚、鸭胚都有致病力，但对鸭无致病力，人工感染健康鹅可复制出与自然病例一致的病状，病毒对鹅胚LD（50）为10(10.4），MDT67．4h，鹅的LD（50）为10(7.5)。用鸡新城疫Ⅰ系苗对该鹅病有良好预防效果。根据病毒鉴定、临床表现及免疫效果将该病暂定为鹅类新城疫。Two isolates were obtained in goose embryo of liver and spleen homogenate from diseased geese in Yangzhou region.The pleomorphic viral particles with envelope and spikes and diameter of 100-300 nm were observed under electron microscopy in allantic fluid of inoculated embryonated eggs. The virious could egglutinate chicken or human (O type)erythrocytes,and the haemagglutinating activity was inhibited by the goose convalescent serum. The goose, chicken and embryos of the both or of the duck could be infected and lethal. But the duck appeared to be not affected in artificial infection. The clinical signs in artificial infected geese were similar to those in natural cases. For the strains LD50 of the goose embryo and of the goose were 1010.4 and 107.5 respectively.Its MDT of the goose embryo was 67. 4 h. The geese could be protected after immunization with NDV-I vaccine. This recently emergent disease of goose was named as Newcastle disease-like infection.
