论元代植棉业发展的原因及影响

摘　　要：元代统治者对棉花种植给予了大力的支持和扶植,使棉花生产成为了元代及明、清时的支柱产业。元代对棉花种植及推广为后世的经济发展奠定厚实的基础,笔者就元代棉花种植的原因及发展作简要的论述。The cotton industry was granted a special support and fostered during the regime of the Yuan Dynasty; Cotton production became a pillar industry of the Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. Cotton cultivation and promotion laid solid foundation for the later economic development. The author briefly discusses on causes and effects of the cotton industry de- velopment in Yuan Dynasty.
