摘 要:评价理论是对人际理论系统的拓展,更多地关注评价性词汇研究;评价局部语法是将Barnbrook的定义局部语法用于评价,从语法角度分析评价。两者在对形容词系统评价相关的语法模式方面鲜有研究。本文基于上述理论和语法,从小句的七个方面探讨形容词的评价形式范畴化,寻求其典型语义结构评价模式,以促进该理论和语法在形式范畴化方面的研究。结果表明,语义结构模式可以作为界定形容词所在小句层面是否具有评价意义的强有力工具,形容词所构建的具体评价意义类型可借助评价理论和评价局部语法来确定。Appraisal theory is an expansion for Interpersonal system mainly focusing on the research of evaluative lexis.Barnbrook’s local grammar of definitions is applied to analyzing the appraisal from the vantage of grammar by Hunston and Sinclair’s local grammar of evaluation.Few studies have been done on the grammatical model in the formal categorization for the adjectives systematically.This paper,applying local grammar of evaluation and Appraisal theory to the parsing,will focus on the research of formal categorization with appraisal to explore the model of typical semantic structure for the evaluative adjectives from seven aspects in the clauses,with the aim to improve and realize the research on formal categorization in this field.The study shows that,the seven semantic structures are the powerful tools to define whether the adjectives have the appraisal meaning or not in the clauses,and the specific appraisal types construed by the adjectives can be determined by Appraisal theory and local grammar of evaluation.
