The simulation tests of explosive fracturing were carried out under different confining pressure. The permeability of cores obtained from the testing samples was measured. And the explosive fracturing effect was analyzed combined with explosive theory. The results show that the sample permeability increases significantly. Compared with the results under atmospheric pressure, the cracks fractured under confining pressure are grouped at the area that close to the blast hole and the number of cracks was much more but the length of those cracks was shorter than those under atmospheric pressure, and there also appeared circular cracks. After the explosive fracturing, the permeability change generally consists with the blasting division rule, because of the combining effects of macro cracks and micro cracks. The permeability of the area that is away from the blast hole 5-7 times of the size of the blast hole increases significantly and is several dozen times of the original permeability. Outward from blast hole to border of samples, increasing rates of permeability decreases gradually, and the area that is far away from blast hole named blasting far-zone is not affected significantly by explosive energy and the permeability changes little.
