摘　　要：报道采自中国广东省肇庆市的淡水水螅新种,即珠江水螅Hydra zhujiangensis sp.nov.,研究标本均来自1只水螅的单系繁殖群体,测量数据经生物统计学处理。新种名以水螅生境所属珠江水系命名。所有研究标本保存于深圳大学生命科学学院。A new species of freshwater polyp collected from Zhaoqing City,Guangdong Province,was described,and was named as Hydra zhujiangensis sp.nov.The new species was a hermaphroditic polyp.It was similar to H.madagascarensis （Campbell,1999）,but differs in （Table 2）：1） the body length of H.madagascarensis is as long as 58 % of Hydra zhujiangensis sp.nov.;2） the new species tentacle /column was 1-3,while H.madagascarensis was only 1/3-1;3） the new species have broadly oval holotrichous isorhizas whose width is longer than 2/3 of the length,while H.madagascarensis less;4） the new species formed 1-5 unpapillang blunt cone-shaped testes and 1-3 eggs,while the testes of H.madagascarensis have a nipple of weak development.Holotype （hermaphroditic）,Zhaoqing City （23°12′N,112°34′E）,Guangdong Province,China,July 2009,collected by LIU Hong-Tao.The type specimen is deposited in College of Life Science,Shenzhen University.
