摘  要:"碉楼"是加拿大华人作家张翎在2009年推出的长篇小说《金山》中一个值得关注的意象载体。小说内的"碉楼"是解读其小说的一个重要窗口。从文化维度讲,碉楼是一个维系传统文化的城堡,也是一个传统文化不断流失的墓碑;从性别维度讲,它是一面维护女性的安全围墙,也是一个让女性虚妄等待的囚笼。"碉楼"成为意蕴丰富的具有性别与文化内涵的张力结构。"Barbican" is a remarkable carrier of image,from a full-length novel named "Gold Mountain",writen in 2009 by Zhangling,an ethnic Canadian Chinese author.In this novel the "Barbican" is an important window of her novel.From the cultural dimension,the Barbican is a castle that can hold together the traditional culture;it is also a gravestone which continually loses traditional culture.From a gender dimension,it is a safety wall to vindicate woman;it is also a waiting cage for female vanity."Barbican" becomes the tension structure that means the rich connotations of gender and culture.
