摘 要:在激光器谐振腔中放入单轴石英晶体,由于石英晶体对o光和e光的折射率的不同,所以,在同一谐振腔中o光和e光有不同的光程和谐振频率.将其称之为模式分裂效应.利用这一效应可以制成频率达几十兆赫兹的双频激光器.针对原有理论与实验结果之间的某些差异,建立了一套分析该种类型双频激光器的理论.根据所建立的理论着重分析了谐振腔光轴与晶轴夹角α对激光器频差的影响.并绘出了He-Ne激光管L<150nm和150nm<L<200nm两种情况时α对频差Δυ的关系曲线.所得结果和相关文献报道的结果基本一致.同时讨论了这两种情况下α一定时He-Ne激光器所能达到的最大频差.提出了一套设计高频差、高增益双频He-Ne激光管的方法,并实际制作了38MHz和65MHz的双频He-Ne激光管,理论计算的频差与实测频差基本一致.Because the difference of refractive index between o ray e ray in quartz crystal,o ray and e ray will have different optical path length and oscillation frequency when a quartz crystal is placed in laser cavity.It is called mode splitting.A dual frequency laser tube with tens of MHz frequency difference can be developed with this technique.But there are some disaccord between he theory curve and experiment result.In this paper a new theory model is developed in order to explain the experiment results.With the new theory,in this paper it is discussed the relation between frequency difference Δυ and angle α,which is the angle between crystalline axis and beam axis.In two different kinds of situation,L<150mm and 150mm<L<200mm with a certain d,new theory curves of frequency difference Δυ vs.angle α are achieved.These theory curves coincide with the experiment results.Furthermore,this paper analyses the maxiumum frequency difference and advances a new method of designing high frequency difference and high gain dual He Ne laser tube.At last the work characters and frequency difference of two He Ne laser tube with 60MHz and 42MHz in theory and TEM 00 mode are measured.
