Development of a Preamplifier for Ion Chamber Detector

摘　　要：The ion chamber is a frequently used radiate detection device.It is simple in architecture and stable in performance, which are highlight features of this detector. Yet the output signal of the ion chamber is so small that it has to be pre-amplified before being conditioned by the main amplifier. According to the relevant work of the project, we developed a novel preamplifier for ion chamber. The preamplifier compound FET and OP AMP consists of a charge sensitive preamplifier, working as first stage, and a zero-pole compensating circuit works as second stage, and then the pulse signal is amplified by non-inverting amplifier and sent to the main amplifier. The schematic is shown in Fig. 1.
